Monday TV Wrap: The ABC Has A Strong Night, But ‘The Block’ Hands Nine The Win

Ten’s new dating show Blind Date is struggling to find its feet with 377,000 viewers tuning in for last night’s second outing.

It was better news for Ten’s Have You Been Paying Attention? that was the sixth most watched show of the night and pulled in 778,000.

Nine won Monday with 29.5 per cent of the audience numbers, Seven took second and a neat 27 per cent. The ABC took bronze and 19 per cent and Ten had to settle for 17.7 per cent. SBS had 6.8 per cent.

Seven had the number one show of the night, its 6pm news bulletin pulling 961,000. Its other highlights were Today Tonight with 946,000, Home And Away with 629,000, and Wanted with 450,000.

Once again, The Block did the business for Nine pulling 945,000. Nine’s 6pm news pulled 872,000, ACA had 769,000, Hot Seat had 441,000 and the movie Sully pulled 452,000.

Ten’s other two shows of note were The Project (441,000) and its 5pm news (367,000).

The ABC’s night of current affairs ran thus: 7pm news (728,000), 7.30 (635,000), Media Watch (489,000), Invictus Games Today (482,000), Four Corners (480,000) and Q&A (424,000).

Over at SBS, its best was Britain’s Most Historic Towns that pulled 273,000.
