News Enlists A Host Of Stars To Launch New Stellar Magazine

Aussie supermodel Miranda Kerr is set to be the face of a new multimedia campaign promoting News Corp’s Stellar magazine to be inserted in the Sunday editions of its newspapers.

Featuring official Stellar brand ambassadors Matt Preston, Rachael Finch and Neale Whitaker alongside international Kerr, the campaign provides a snapshot of the star power of the magazine.

The launch of Stellar is being supported with a $6 million multi-channel marketing campaign that will run across TV, radio, print, digital and social channels. Both 30 and 15 second versions of the television advertisement, featuring the ambassadors, will be broadcast across the Seven Network, Network Ten and FOX Sports.

Stellar is available from Sunday August 28 with the purchase of The Sunday Telegraph (NSW), Sunday Herald Sun (VIC) and The Sunday Mail (QLD) which, combined, reach almost 2.9million Australians each week*.

News Corp Australia’s chief marketing officer, Tony Phillips, said: “The launch of Stellar is a huge investment in our Sunday publications and this initiative reflects our commitment to our Sunday audience. We wanted to ensure we appropriately supported the magazine with an all-encompassing campaign that not only showcases the surprising, intriguing and inspiring content that will be available with the Sunday paper each week, but also celebrates the amazing contributors who have agreed to be part of Stellar.”

Stellar adds fantastic value to our Sunday offering; and together with the enhanced body+soul and Escape supplements that relaunched earlier this year, provides the most compelling Sunday read in the market.”

Editor-in-chief Sarrah Le Marquand said all involved are eager to see the finished product where it belongs – in the hands of the readers.

“This is a magazine that will pride itself on beautiful photography, aspirational lifestyle and food content and creative fashion shoots that will sit alongside comprehensive and news-driven features,” she said.

“In our first few issues alone, readers will find a diverse range of interesting personalities, including famous sports stars, musicians, actors, business identities, comedians and supermodels. There will always be an element of the unexpected within Stellar, as well as stories that provoke conversation.”
