Kapow! Compare The Market Meerkats Become Superheros In Own DC Comic Book

The fuzzy little meerkats who hate it when you mix up their website have become cartoonised in their own Comic Books.

The 16-page comic book, Meerkat Movies: A Heroic Journey, is a two-part series featuring meerkats Aleksandr and Sergei. The comic book is in conjunction with DC Entertainment – the parent company of DC Comics – and is hot off the heels of Compare the Market’s partnership with the new Superman vs Batman: Dawn of Justice.

The comic was illustrated by Neal Adams – the artist behind iconic super heroes such as Superman, Batman and Green Arrow. It was written by comic book legend Tony Bedard.

The comic book plays on the brand’s own initiative of Meerkat Movies, a movie ticket offering for loyal customers of comparethemarket.com.

The comic cartoon follows Aleksandr and Sergei as they don their favourite super hero outfits and run through the streets of LA to make the movie in time.

However, while the men in bandannas let the meerkats through with confused looks upon their noggins, rampant dogs were not nearly as kind. We’re left on a cliffhanger, unsure whether the meerkat duo will make the film.

On how it was made, Aleksandr said: “I did great job, but Sergei make process even longer than it should have been. He went to toilet every 20 minutes.”

The first part of the comic can be downloaded here. And the second part will be available for download May 27 2016.
