MediaCom has today announced the promotion of Ben McCallum, head of the entertainment division (TED) to general manager, Sydney.

McCallum, an established member of MediaCom Sydney’s Leadership team, began his tenure with the business in early 2015. Following two years as head of The Entertainment Division (TED), McCallum has become an invaluable asset to the agency. During this time, McCallum has successfully built a team culture fuelled by enthusiasm and a hunger to deliver excellent solutions to MediaCom’s clients, partners and colleagues.

As general manager of MediaCom Sydney, McCallum’s new-found responsibilities will be to lead the Sydney office, ensure MediaCom’s clients continue to benefit from the best systems, talent and connected communications while also overseeing relationships with clients and service providers.

Sean Seamer CEO MediaCom AUNZ said of the promotion, “Ben has played a leading role in revitalising MediaCom Sydney. His focus on culture and clients has seen he and his team have a fantastic 12 months and his promotion is very well deserved. We’re confident he’s going to do even more great things for us and our clients as he steps into the role of our Sydney GM”.

McCallum said of his promotion, “I can honestly say that I have learned more about what makes a strong and successful team in the past 12 months than I had in the previous 14 years of my career.”

“MediaCom is challenging the way we think about the traditional media agency and is taking it in a whole new direction.  To have the opportunity to play a role in this transformation is genuinely exciting for me.

“My commitment as GM will be to provide excellent client service and also to continue the culture of putting our people first. I’m looking forward to leading a group of very talented people and I’m excited for what the future holds for MediaCom Sydney”.

McCallum’s promotion is effective immediately and will see him report directly to Sean Seamer, CEO MediaCom AUNZ.
