McDonald’s has reportedly pulled its radio ads after yesterday’s Gold Coast shooting at it’s Helensvale restaurant.

B&T was contacted by a Facebook user reported that “McDonald’s have pulled all their ads from radio.

“One of our guys is trying to get a copy of email that went to traffic managers. Some stations have entire breakfast shows sponsored by McDonald’s. Others have competitions, the secret sound, beat the bomb and other segments sponsored.”

The alleged removal of McDonald’s radio ads comes after a  woman was shot dead by a former partner outside a Gold Coast McDonald’s restaurant. The woman’s killer then turned the gun on himself. He remains in critical condition at the Gold Coast University Hospital.

B&T contacted McDonald’s who declined to comment due to the sensitive nature of the situation.

This morning, Lisa Wilkinson on the Today show spoke about the 62 Australian women who have died just this year from domestic violence.
