Matt Scotton steps up at UM Sydney

Media agency UM has named Matt Scotton as strategy director of its Sydney operations.

Scotton joined UM in October last year from Naked in Melbourne.

June 2, 2014: Tapping into talent from within the agency, UM has named Matt Scotton as its new strategy director for the Sydney operations. The appointment is effective immediately and he will report to UM Australia chief strategy officer, Stefan Burford.

UM Sydney has a team of eight communications strategists who focus on the Sydney operations’ broad client portfolio, as well as contribute to the agency’s national strategy development on existing clients and business development.

Scotton has more than 10 years experience as a strategist and joined UM in October last year as a strategy director. He previously worked for Naked in Melbourne as a communications director and before that had an extensive career with Zenith Optimedia.

“Matt has a real passion for creative thinking and has led the development for the ground-breaking work the Sydney agency is continuing to produce,” said Burford. “He is a true collaborator with a track record of delivering exciting and effective communications work.”
