Mango Melbourne Snares CHEP’s Laura Dhondy To Drive Business Growth

DDB’s Mango Melbourne has appointed Laura Dhondy as communications strategy director to help drive the business following a period of growth.

Dhondy joins from CHE Proximity where she worked across brands including Telstra, Nurofen and Yamaha.

She also spent several years client-side at L’Oréal in Australia and the UK working in various roles within the communications and marketing teams.

Her hire follows a string of new business wins for Mango Melbourne, including retailer Platypus Shoes, which has 70 locations across Australia and New Zealand.

Mango Melbourne has also expanded its remit on the Coles portfolio and secured project work with FMCG giant Simplot.

Mango Melbourne GM Jessica Allison said: “In her short time with Mango, Laura has already impressed us by showing how her strong strategic mindset and considered approach to tackling communications challenges can create impact for our clients.”

Dhondy said: “I’m really thrilled to be joining Mango Communications and the wider DDB team.

“It’s a company well recognised for its incredible culture but foremost for its ability to think creatively and strategically across multiple communications streams and ensuring the best possible outcome for their clients.

“The year ahead is looking really exciting, from activations, PR, social and content projects on the go; I’m looking forward to bringing some fresh thinking into the mix, working side by side with Jess and the team”.
