KTLA anchor Chris Burrous has been touted America’s latest embarrassment as he attempted to cover up the show’s weather presenter Liberté Chan while she was live on TV, actually doing the weather forecast for the local LA news program.

The appalling clip shows Chan trying to do her job as Burrous’ arm appears, holding a jumper for Chan to put on, with his reason being, “We’re getting a lot of emails”.

Chan is naturally confused, but puts it on, adding, “Now I look like a librarian”. You can catch it on the tweet below:

And Burrous didn’t stop there, going on to post his own tweet about how he solved the “problem”.

But Twitter users weren’t having a bar of it, labelling Burrous “tasteless” and saying he “humiliated” her on air.

Burrous as a result offered up a public apology on Twitter, in which he tried to downplay his disgraceful behaviour, which naturally didn’t end up going so well.
