Kylie Gillies To Front New ‘New Idea’ Brand Campaign

Seven West Media has brought together the face of The Morning Show – Kylie Gillies – to front its biggest selling weekly magazine, New Idea, in a new brand campaign called, “Always something new with New Idea”.

The multi-platform campaign will be supported by significant integration across Seven West Media assets including television, magazines, newspapers, digital and social.

Pacific Magazines’ Group Publisher – weekly titles, Fiona Legdin, said: “Kylie Gillies is a well-respected presenter within the Australian media landscape, and we are thrilled to have her as our ambassador. We have combined the strength of the Seven West Media Group to create a campaign that will amplify Kylie’s association with New Idea across all platforms.”

The TV campaign featuring Gilles commenced last night and will initially roll out across regional Australia, followed by metropolitan markets over the coming months.

New Idea acting editor-in-chief, Louisa Hatfield, said: “ Kylie’s enthusiasm for entertainment news, her energetic personality, along with balancing the role as a mum, made her the perfect choice to represent Australia’s longest running women’s weekly magazine.

The Morning Show’s executive producer, Sarah Stinson, agreed she was delighted to see Kylie as the face of New Idea.

“For eight years, Kylie has delivered a mix of news, entertainment and lifestyle advice to Australian women as co-host of The Morning Show, so her association with New Idea was a natural fit.”
