Kyle & Jackie O Slam MAFS Star Over Paid Interview Request, As Nine Fights Off Another Paid Actor Claim

KIIS FM brekkie hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie “O” Henderson have given the cold shoulder to one Married at First Sight contestant who they claim would only agree to an interview if he was paid.

The radio duo revealed on air this morning when interviewing MAFS couple John Robertson and Melissa Walsh that fellow contestant Troy Delmege (pictured above) had refused to be interviewed unless KIIS FM coughed up some moolah.

“Troy’s turned into an idiot who now wants to be paid to come on,” Sandilands said. “We told him to shove it up his arse.”

“Every one of the Married At First Sight couples are all good, they’re all fine to come on. Not Troy. Troy wants money,” Henderson added.

Kyle & Jackie O’s revelation comes after claims that Delmege was in fact hired via a talent agency to appear on Nine’s romance reality TV hit.

One fan posted on the Married at First Sight Australia Facebook page saying they recently met Delmege’s bride, Ashley Irwin, on a flight, who revealed that Delmege was hired to appear on the show, according to news.com.au.

“[Ashley] said Troy didn’t apply for the show but was selected via an agency,” the fan’s post read.

“She said they weren’t going to get rid of a main ‘character’ early, so she had to play the game.”

Delmege isn’t the only MAFS contestant to be accused of being a paid actor, with the authenticity of Nassar Sultan, Dean Wells, Tracey Jewel, and Davina Rankin all questioned.

Nine has denied the latest paid actor claim, and a spokesperson told B&T that Delmege will be available for interviews on radio next week.

    1. Since when do we think entertainment is real? Why are we surprised that these people aren’t really married. The original show matched strangers through very dodgy “professionals” and it followed the lead up to the wedding and that was it! Now it’s My Wedding Rules! They were carefully selected as per MKR to have the villians, the “awe that’s cute” couple, and the ones you wish would last pair. It’s all fake to keep the ratings as high as they are. But that’s OK, just don’t be surprised when they want dough. And why shouldn’t they. They are plugging a show that makes Nine a lot of money and they ARE the stars. On that what are they paid to be on????
