Isobar Promotes Erik Hallander To Mobile Director

Isobar today announces that Erik Hallander has been promoted, with immediate effect, to the role of regional director, mobile and innovation for Asia-Pacific.

Hallander will take on this newly created role, in addition to his current role as mobile & innovation director for Isobar Group, Australia & New Zealand – where he played an integral role in the agency ranking as one of BRW’s top 50 Most Innovative Companies in Australia.

Hallander will report to Sven Huberts, regional managing director, Isobar Asia-Pacific and Konrad Spilva, CEO Isobar Group, Australia & New Zealand. He will continue to be based in Australia.

As regional director mobile & innovation APAC, Hallander will be responsible for driving Isobar’s mobile offering across the region and focus on developing emerging technologies.

Sven Huberts, Regional Managing Director, Isobar APAC, said: “Innovation is a key part of our DNA. As one of Forrester’s top 10 most significant global innovation agencies, it’s important we remain at the forefront of innovation to help create business opportunities for our clients. Erik is highly regarded in the region for his innovative approach and authority on mobile and emerging technologies so he’s right person to ensure we continue to do this.”

Konrad Spilva, CEO Isobar Group Australia & NZ said: “Erik has an unbridled passion for using technology as an enabler to creating amazing consumer experiences. Most recently working with our team in Australia, to create the world’s first large scale virtual reality experience ‘CoDriver’ for Chevrolet. He’s championed innovative thinking across Isobar in Australia & New Zealand and I’ve no doubt he’ll inspire the region.”

Hallander commented: “Asia-Pacific is an incredibly interesting market that’s wildly varied between countries. Whereas technical maturity and saturation in society is very varied, a constant pace towards mobile is very consistent. This new role presents an opportunity to create increased consistency between markets, raise our overall focus on mobile and innovation and continue to deliver world class work.”

Hallander has over 15 years’ experience across three continents in technology and mobility, having started his career in programming. During his seven year period with Isobar he has helped create award winning work for major international and local brands including General Motors, ANZ Bank, Jetstar, the Australian Football League, Australian Defence Force and many others.
