International Beach Festival Signs Major Sponsors

Qantas Assure, Piping Hot and Ohana have joined major partner Jewel Residences as sponsors of the inaugural International Beach Festival being held in Cronulla, Sydney from 3 – 6 November 2016.

The four-day festival is headlined by the new, season ending, WSL Sydney International Women’s Pro QS6000 surf event, which is hosted by Sally Fitzgibbons. The event will see some of the best female surfers from around the world fight it out for the places on the 2017 Championship Tour.

Fitzgibbons International today announced Qantas Assure as the naming rights partner of the International Beach Festival, which is set to become a staple on the Sydney event circuit.

Mike Bray from Fitzgibbons International said: “The Qantas Assure International Beach Festival is set to be a great way to start summer on one of Sydney’s iconic beaches. It gives us great pleasure to welcome Qantas Assure as the naming rights partner. Besides the world class competition in the water, there is something for the whole family to embrace by taking part together in the run, swim, fitness workouts, open air cinema by the sea, kids zone and festival village.”

The sponsorship sees the continued growth of the Qantas Assure brand in the lifestyle market. The Australian airline’s new insurance product provides members with access to a wellness program that rewards people with Qantas Points for being active, like walking on the beach – an ethos that is a strong fit with the International Beach Festival activities for the whole family to encourage healthy bodies and minds.

Our great Aussie surf stars all started in the shore breaks of their local beach and Piping Hot, one of the countries family favourite surf brands, will help make young dreams come true as they are announced as presenting partner of the of the Sydney International Pro Assist. Soft surfboards will line the shores of Cronulla Beach on both Saturday and Sunday morning as 30 groms aged five to eight, will pair up with Pros for the ultimate surf session.

Ohana Ocean Athletics join the event as the presenting partners of the Sydney International Ironwoman Invitational. The event will be the ultimate test of swim, board, ski and run between some of Australia’s best ironwomen. An eliminator format will see an exciting, spectator friendly, ‘dash for cash’ duel, as three rounds of epic proportion play out over a gruelling one-hour battle.

Further announcement of new sponsors are expected next week as corporate Sydney gets behind its latest new event. To find out more or to enter the various activities visit: www.internationalbeachfestival.com.au
