Indie Agency Edge Ups Creative Recruits After A Series Of Wins

Following recent new business wins including WW (formerly Weight Watchers), NGS Super and BASF, indie creative and content agency Edge has hired creative duo Peter Mountford (left in photo) and Salvatore Cavallaro (right).

Copywriter Mountford was previously at Leo Burnett and R/GA, having worked on clients such as Telstra and McDonald’s, while art director Cavallaro was previously at Havas and 303 MullenLowe working on Australian Defence Force and Harley Davidson.

The two creatives have not previously worked together, being partnered for this role by Edge executive creative director Matt Batten.

“Each has an outstanding portfolio,” Batten said. “Sal’s history as a designer shows in the craft of his campaign work, and Pete’s lateral creativity is bolstered by his ability to craft copy.

“Both were given glowing referrals by their former ECDs and will make an awesome addition to the team.

“Based on our integrated proposition of ‘relentless relevance’, we are winning more conceptual creative opportunities and the chance to shape the future brand direction with big ideas as well as the micro-moment and content experience. All these account wins fuse advertising and media.”
