Independent media agency, The Media Store (TMS), has announced expansion plans to Melbourne, with the opening of the new office planned for January 1st, 2018.
Former ARN and Network Ten senior executive, Stephen Leeds, will head-up the Victorian team as general manager of the Melbourne office, with a mandate to service the agency’s biggest clients Toyota and Lexus, who are headquartered in Melbourne.
Leeds will also be tasked with growing the business across a variety of sectors and industries, mirroring the existing diverse national client portfolio.
TMS has been in partnership with Toyota for 20 years and is delighted to be continuing its working relationship delivering insights and shaping media connection strategies for Toyota and Lexus. The TMS team in Melbourne will be a blend of current Sydney client service managers who have elected to relocate and new talent coming in.
Craig Jepsen, CEO of TMS, commented on the Agency’s growth and appointment of Stephen Leeds. “TMS has been servicing clients across retail, services, education and health sectors in the Australian market for over 20 years and we’re one of the last few remaining independent media agencies in this market. I like to think there’s a little magic in what we do and how we do it, and the long-term partnership with one of Australia’s most iconic brands is testament to this.
“We’re embarking on a strategic growth mandate right now, buoyed by the continuation of our work with Toyota and Lexus. The appointment of Stephen Leeds is a huge win for us – his background comprising technical media and leadership remits – places him in solid stead to lead TMS teams and deliver exceptional client outcomes in our new market, Melbourne. We welcome Stephen to the team with great enthusiasm.
According to Stephen Leeds, the opportunity with TMS is a career highlight in a market and industry he knows best. “Having the opportunity to establish a power media brand in my stomping ground of Melbourne on brands like Toyota and Lexus is something that I’m really excited by. We already service clients in this market so it’s a natural step to now open doors to an office.”
