HuffPost Australia Appoints REA’s Sammy Lewis As Commercial Director

HuffPost Australia has appointed digital media sales leader Sammy Lewis as commercial director.

The newly-created role is responsible for building and leading HuffPost Australia’s national team of agency sales managers that are guiding advertisers, media agencies, and creative agencies on advertising and branded content solutions.

Sammy joins HuffPost from REA Group where she worked for five years in a variety of commercial roles, most recently as Group Sales Manager – Media for NSW and Queensland. Prior to that, she worked in account management and sales roles at digital marketing firms.

HuffPost Australia CEO JJ Eastwood said: “Sammy is an immensely talented digital sales leader with a passion for content-driven advertising. With branded content forecast to grow at 35 per cent year over year for the next five years, Sammy is perfectly suited to help position HuffPost Australia as a leader in that space.”

Lewis said: “I have great admiration and respect for HuffPost, what they stand for and how they create authentic and empowering connections with their audience. I believe HuffPost holds a unique position in the Australian media landscape, writing for the people, not about them.

“I am very excited to be championing the HuffPost brand and joining a highly talented team. I look forward to leading the sales team and bringing new and evolved content opportunities to Australia’s leading brands and advertisers.”

Lewis starts at HuffPost on September 4.
