Howorth Wins Riverbed Technology Account

Ogilvy Public Relations’ specialist technology agency, Howorth Communications, has announced it has added Riverbed Technology to its client roster following a competitive pitch.

With an immediate remit to raise brand awareness for Riverbed in Australia and New Zealand, Howorth will aim to drive an integrated communications strategy and content program across all earned and owned channels.

Howorth managing director Graham White (pictured) said his team was delighted with the account win.

“The RFP Riverbed issued was a great opportunity for Howorth to present a different communications approach – one that stayed true to delivering some of the key media influencer deliverables associated with an enterprise technology account, but also took a story-first, cross-channel approach to drive real and measureable business impact,” he said.

“It was clear Riverbed was looking for a trusted adviser and a communications partner that would challenge them, and in the spirit of partnership, try something different.

“Our deep tech knowledge and proven thought leadership and content-first strategies, together with our results-driven mindset, was a philosophy shared by Riverbed.”

Karin Neighorn, director of corporate communications for the Asia-Pacific region and Japan at Riverbed Technology, said: “Howorth demonstrated throughout the process it had a team with an in-depth understanding of our sector and our business.

“That, combined with strategic insights into how they could further extend and amplify Riverbed’s brand platform, made them the obvious choice.

“Howorth’s strong tech and B2B expertise, and an innate ability of translating highly technical content into stories that will resonate with the c-suite, was a key capability we were looking for in our next communications partner.”
