House Rules To Auction Winning House In Campaign Via PHD

For the first time in the program’s history, Seven’s House Rules will be auctioning the house that the contestants have been renovating.

Now in its sixth year, House Rules continues to break new ground with epic challenges and breathtaking designs, the new series is starting Monday 7th May.

At the beginning of the series, the new teams turned up to the renovation site to discover a ‘For Sale by Purplebricks’ sign in the front yard of the house. Purplebricks, the local property experts, had evaluated the price of the property before it was renovated by the show’s competitors.

They then had seven days to renovate the property, guided by five house rules.

The campaign to sell the property was managed by Purplebricks who sold the house at auction, with the profits becoming the prize money for the contestants. Teams have drawn on their creative talents, determination and strategy to produce breathtaking reveals that impressed not only the home owners, but the judges.

The auction episode will air Tuesday 8th May, to reveal the prize money and the winning team.

International design star Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen or LLB, as he is affectionately known, is back, bigger and bolder than before, along with acclaimed architect and builder Drew Heath; and one of Australia’s foremost experts on style and design, Wendy Moore as judges. The series is hosted by Johanna Griggs. To guide and help the teams decipher the House Rules, is interior designer Carolyn Burns-McCrave.

Commenting on the campaign Matt Siddons, CMO of Purplebricks said: “House Rules is the perfect platform for Purplebricks to showcase the personal service of our agents and the sales results they achieve. All for a fair, fixed fee.”

Angela Rapley, director of content, PHD added: “House Rules is a great sponsorship fit for our client Purplebricks, and it’s been a fantastic vehicle for the brand to demonstrate their unique offering in the Aussie property market’’.

Channel 7’s House Rules EP Lauren Rudd also added:“Everybody is fascinated with real estate and prices so it was a natural fit that House Rules has partnered with Purple Bricks to reveal in program the increase in value on the homes our contestants renovate in just 7 days. Local Purple Bricks agents assess the property pre and post renovation and the increase in value on every home this season has been phenomenal.”
