Guardian Australia Appoints Tereza Alexandratos As Commercial Operations Director

Guardian Australia has announced the appointment of Tereza Alexandratos to the role of commercial operations director.

Heading up Guardian Australia’s commercial operations team, Alexandratos will be responsible for overseeing the publisher’s data strategies, programmatic advertising and advertising operations.

She will also supervise Guardian Labs, the branded content studio, production and delivery team.

Alexandratos brings more than 15 years’ experience in digital and advertising spanning across media and creative agencies and major publishers.

She joins Guardian Australia from Fairfax Media, where was the director of digital commercialisation. Prior to that, Alexandratos held senior positions with other major publishers including News Corp and ninemsn.

Ian McClelland, CEO of Guardian Australia, said he was delighted to welcome Alexandratos to the publisher’s commercial team.

“She is an industry leader and brings a wealth of publishing and advertising experience,” he said.

“Tereza’s role will be vital as we grow and optimise Guardian Australia’s data, programmatic, consumer revenue and campaign delivery capabilities.”

Commenting on her new role, Alexandratos said: “I’m very excited to join Guardian Australia. I have long admired their quality, independent journalism.

“I look forward to developing strategies to optimise and grow new revenues for the premium Australian publisher.”

Alexandratos will commence her new role in November 2017.
