Grant Denyer Breaks Silence On Em Rusciano Saga

Grant Denyer Breaks Silence On Em Rusciano Saga

The rumoured tensions between Em Rusciano and her 2Day FM co-hosts remains in the media spotlight, with Grant Denyer opening up on what is going on at the breakfast show.

Rusciano has been in the firing line of late, with one ex-staffer of 2Day FM claiming the host isn’t well-liked at the station and “makes it a toxic work environment”.

It’s also been reported that a number of staff who work on the 2Day FM brekkie show were calling it quits due to a poor work environment, with some declining to work alongside Rusciano, while tensions are understood to be running high between her and Kavalee.

Denyer refused to confirm or deny if Rusciano and Kavalee were feuding, but insisted there was no tension between him and his co-hosts, and that he wanted 2Day FM’s newfound combination to work after the failure of the last four brekkie teams.

“We are three different personalities, we come at it from totally different angles. We are three strangers who are still gelling,” he told The Daily Telegraph.

“I know it is no small task to take a show which has been at the bottom and turn it around, but I am up for the challenge.”

As for the reported complaints about Rusciano’s “toxic” effect on the 2Day FM workplace, Denyer deflected questions from The Daily Telegraph about this to his co-host.

“Em is handling the situation herself… I think you will have to talk to her about that,” he said.

“I try not to get involved in that at all. I turn up, bring my A game and try my hardest.”

Denyer’s comments come after it was reported that Rusciano, her manager and Kavalee met with 2Day FM management on Friday.

B&T has heard on the grapevine that Ash London has already been chosen to replace Rusciano, which SCA has refused to confirm or deny.
