Futureye Acquires Melbourne-Based PR Firm KPPR
Melbourne-based management consultancy Futureye has announced it will invest in its risk and crisis communication competence by acquiring communication expert Kelly Parkinson’s firm KPPR.
“Acquiring KPPR broadens and strengthens our experience in telecommunications, energy and fast moving consumer goods. It also enhances our portfolio of risk communication advisory services including product recalls, crisis management and privatisations,” Katherine Teh-White, Managing Director of Futureye, said.
Founded by Kelly Parkinson in 2002, KPPR has gained global expertise in risk communication through clients such as the Australian Mobile Telecommunication Association, GSM Association (London), the Mobile Manufactures Forum (Brussels/Hong Kong), Quezon Power (Philippines) and the National Commercial Bank of Saudi Arabia.
“Combining the risk, crisis communications and product recall capabilities of KPPR and Futureye will put Futureye in a world’s best practice position in this area and well positioned for growth in Australia and internationally”, Parkinson said.
KPPR will be fully integrated into Futureye’s organisational structure in close collaboration with managing director Katherine Teh-White. Parkinson will be a director of Futureye and will be responsible for the communication, crisis and business resilience services.
Announcing the investment Teh-White said: “Planning for resilience and crisis is vital for corporations. They need to know all their risks including climate, water, human rights, social licence, product, supply chain and how to effectively engage with their employees, customers and investors before, during and after a crisis.
“With our expanded know-how in this field Futureye is specialised to support clients managing public views of risks in order to build community trust.”
