Facebook Australia Hires New Tech And Agency Heads

Facebook Australia has appointed Melissa Verner Green as head of agency, Melbourne and Jason Juma-Ross as head of telecommunications, technology & entertainment.

Verner Green is a senior media executive with over 20 years’ experience and joins Facebook in a newly created role from Fairfax Media. At Facebook, Verner Green will run a new team dedicated to agency relationships in Melbourne, helping them get the most out of the Facebook platform for clients. Melbourne is a key part of the AUNZ business and over the next 12 months is an area where we will be increasing our investment.

Formerly a lead partner for PwC’s Digital Intelligence unit, Juma-Ross is a senior digital executive with over 20 years’ experience in digital and strategy. At Facebook he will help businesses in the technology and telecomms space drive brand awareness and growth through the Facebook platform.

Both executives will report directly into William Easton, managing director for Facebook Australia and New Zealand.

Commenting on the hires, Will said: “Melissa and Jason will play a critical role in our efforts to help brands connect with the over 13 million Australians who use Facebook. These hires are part of our strategy for continued growth and investment in Australia.
