Ensemble Appoints New Head Of Partnerships

Ensemble Australia has named Scott Barnes as the agency’s Head of Partnerships, a role that will focus on accelerating the agency’s client relationships with rights holders, major event operators and media owners.

With nine years of experience in his industry, Barnes is formerly general manager of the STW Group sports and sponsorship business Subnine, which was integrated with Ikon in 2012 to form the agency’s sport, partnerships and activation division.

Barnes’ primary client leadership role was on Qantas where he was responsible for the airline’s sport sponsorship portfolio. Those relationships included the Australian Rugby Union, British and Irish Lions, Football Federation of Australia, Cricket Australia, the Australian Grand Prix, Major League Baseball & Australian Olympic & Para-Olympic Committees. His role included contract negotiations and the delivery of commercially viable business solutions.

His other work experience has included Cirque du Soleil, Sydney Festival and several brand to brand partnerships. His client experience also includes American Express, HSBC, Telstra, Ford, Betfair and Bupa – working across the activation, sports, arts and media spaces.

“Scott brings us a wealth of experience in sports and entertainment sponsorships that will help build on the great momentum we currently have in this space,” said Ensemble CEO Justin Ricketts.  “Partnerships are a key business focus for Ensemble in 2015 and we have many exciting new clients and initiatives to announce across the next few months”
