Ebiquity has hired Leela Nair as the new managing director for its new South East Asia branch.

Former Managing Director of Mindshare Singapore, Leela Nair, will head up Ebiquity’s new regional operation as Managing Director of Ebiquity South East Asia plc. Ebiquity, formerly Faulkner Media Management in South East Asia, is a global marketing and media performance specialist.

The move is in response to rapidly growing client demand in Asia for independent and transparent advice and insight in an increasingly complex and opaque market. Nair brings more than two decades of experience in advertising and media. Before heading Mindshare Singapore, the largest agency in the market, she was Managing Director of OMD International. In these roles, she drove greater effectiveness across Asia Pacific for clients such as Visa International, Unilever, StarHub, Pernod Ricard, Johnson and Johnson, Standard Chartered Bank and Exxon Mobil.

As media in this part of the world has become increasingly complex, more clients have been asking for Ebiquity’s help to cut through the jargon and mystique andto ensure they make the most of their media investment and agency relationships. Nair’s initial focus will be to further develop the business in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Singapore. Eric Faulkner, Chairman of Ebiquity Asia Pacific, will continue to be active in the region. Faulkner has spent 25 years heading Faulkner Media Management, the leading media consultancy in the region, which joined Ebiquity in 2011.
