Independent production company The Woolshed Co. has announced that director Matt Weston has joined its roster across TVC, viral and digital content.

Weston also helmed the award-winning rock and roll feature documentary COSMIC PSYCHOS: BLOKES YOU CAN TRUST that premiered at the 2013 Melbourne International Film Festival, which led to a slew of other documentary projects for WorkCover, the Heart Foundation and BUPA.

The Woolshed’s executive producer and co-founder, Dave Christison, said: “In addition to Matt’s extensive experience in TVCs and docos, his unique tone of voice and resourceful approach to directing, he also brings along his own bag of tricks when it comes to creating highly sharable, viral content. A perfect fit for The Woolshed.”

Commenting on his appointment, Weston said: “Seeing the rapid rise and success of The Woolshed, particularly with their approach to viral work, makes my new home feel like a match made in hell, because God knows that neither of us are getting into heaven for the stunts we’ve been pulling.”
