Dentsu X Australia Appoints Sam Hegg To National MD Role

dentsu X Australia has announced the appointment of Sam Hegg (right in photo) to the role of national managing director.

Angela Tangas (left), who has been leading the business since February, has been appointed to the newly-created role of executive director of business operations, Dentsu Aegis Network, ANZ.

Tangas will lead DAN’s new capability shared services division – a client-first, solution-led centre of excellence within the business.

Under Tangas’ leadership, dentsu X has been overhauled to focus on cross-channel specialisation and expertise to deliver value throughout and beyond the customer journey; resulting in a number of key client wins, including Jaguar Land Rover and Australia Post.

Hegg has been promoted to national managing director of dentsu X Australia from Carat, where he has been an instrumental member of the team for nearly a decade – most recently as chief strategy officer.

Speaking of the appointments, Luke Speers, HR director at DAN, said: “It gives me great pleasure to announce the promotion of two of our most exciting, and dynamic leaders.

“Sam’s extensive history within the network, sales-orientated background, exceptional strategic capabilities, and leadership style will complement and advance the dentsu X team as they continue their growth trajectory.
