DDB’s Tara Ford And BMF’s Cam Blackley Go One-On-One In Latest Ep Of ‘The Creative Relay’

DDB’s Tara Ford And BMF’s Cam Blackley Go One-On-One In Latest Ep Of ‘The Creative Relay’

Following the recent launch of The Creative Relay, an industry-first podcast series by music and sound design company Smith & Western, the fourth ‘Halloween Special’ episode has just been released.

Breaking the traditional podcast mould, the series has taken a relay-based approach – the baton is passed from creative to creative in each episode, as one episode’s interviewee becomes the next episode’s interviewer.

In the latest episode that happened to fall on Halloween, DDB Sydney executive creative director Tara Ford (pictured above, second from the left) interviews BMF executive creative director Cam Blackley (pictured above, second from the right).

Blackley reveals what it was like to grow up with a ‘mad man’ for a Dad (ad legend David Blackley), as well as an unexpected penchant for face paint.

Something else no one was expecting was Blackley’s story about a ghost sighting at the old BMF building (teaser audio provided). While he may have been wearing clown make-up while telling it, he was dead serious.

Behind the mask, Tara discovers a creative giant with a big heart.

Episode four follows Permanent host, writer and creative director Paul Dunne (pictured above, far left) kicking off The Creative Relay talking to Ant Keogh, and Keogh then interviewing Jonathan Kneebone. Rounding out the launch trilogy, Kneebone sat down with Ford.

The Creative Relay series is the brainchild of creators and producers Dan Higson (pictured above, far right) and Nick West from Smith & Western.

All episodes are available at www.thecreativerelay.com and iTunes. There will be more to come early in 2018.
