Cummins&Partners Hires New Managing Director In Sydney

Cummins&Partners is pleased to announce that Rebecca Bezzina will join their Sydney office as managing director. Bezzina will be responsible for the overall growth of the office, driving and shaping the long-term strategic roadmap and vision, developing new business and overseeing the development of industry-shaping services and talent.

She joins Cummins&Partners from R/GA, where she previously held the role of managing director – client services, and played a lead role as the agency grew from 5 to 60 staff.

Cummins&Partners CEO, Chris Jeffares was ecstatic at the new hire. “Rebecca is a true modern marketer and her depth of experience across brand, loyalty, digital and data-driven communications is unique. We had a very tight brief for the sort of leader we wanted to join us, and Becs fits perfectly,” he said. “She is passionate, driven and has an insatiable drive to help shape the industry, with C&P as a standout leader”.

The executive hire follows on from the appointment of joint ECD’s Julian Schreiber and Tom Martin, who returned from New York to take up Partner roles. The office has seen strong growth having launched in January to support their founding client in Vodafone.

“As a collaborative and partnership-led agency, we looked long and hard to find someone we believe shares a similar philosophy to us and Becs is simply our perfect fit.’ said Martin. ‘She believe in the power of creativity, sees the opportunity that new technologies brings and has a real understanding of what role a brand can play in people’s lives’ said Schreiber.

“I am incredibly excited to be joining Cummins&Partners. Two things really stood out for me. Firstly, their powerhouse executive team in CJ, Tom, Jules, Kirsty and Adam. Secondly, they have a really progressive model as a creative: media agency in an industry where clients have a growing need for non-traditional, progressive thinking and innovation,” Bezzina said.

“I look forward to helping lead this change both internally and for our clients, with Vodafone being an amazing opportunity due to their leading position in technology, customer engagement, mobile and mobility. It’s really the sweet spot.”

Prior to R/GA, Rebecca served as group head at M&C Saatchi leading the Commonwealth Bank account, with previous engagements across Google, Nestle and Effie Gold winning work for Qantas Frequent Flyer.  She has had a rapid rise in the industry which also included being awarded Young Direct Marketer of the Year (ADMA) and a ’top 30 under 30’ nomination.
