Australian independent sports media syndicator Crocmedia has completed an initial round of agency visits in an attempt to increase its profile in the Sydney market.

Last week, Crocmedia offered several agencies a small preview into its summer of sports, which includes cricket, the A-League and NBL, and provided a small taste of what’s to come in the AFL and NRL in 2019.

On hand to help Crocmedia woo agency staffers at MediaCom, OMD, Bohemia, Ikon, UM, Zenith and Atomic 212 were former AFL player Tadhg Kennelly and GWS Giants star Toby Green, along with former NRL players Scott Sattler, Steve Menzies and Brett Kimmorley.

Crocmedia used the informal sessions to make agencies aware of its ability to connect brands with fans across multiple platforms including radio, print, TV, digital, stadium and events.

The company lays claim to being Australia’s largest syndicator of radio sports content, creating over 300 hours of radio per week, broadcasting via hundreds of stations around Australia.

Crocmedia also has a number of business units across media content, racing sales, sponsorships, events, talent management, TV production, radio and creative services.

Its merger with Pacific Star Network in January means the company now has SEN, Classic Rock and digital radio stations, along with a publishing arm.

The last few months have proven to be quite busy for Crocmedia, with the company securing broadcast deals for the NRL, cricket and NFL, a media production partnership with Bowls Australia, the acquisition of the AFL’s publication business, and a stake in basketball team Melbourne United.

Crocmedia has plans to visit more Sydney agencies in the coming months.
