Iconic Australian cosmetics brand, Australis, is encouraging people to add some more colour to their Summer with its first consumer campaign in over two years, via BWM Dentsu.

The digital-centric “Take our sun with you” campaign creates an ‘endless Summer’ atmosphere to promote Australis Rapid Tan, the brand’s first foray into the self-tanning space, which will complement its well-established cosmetics business.

This is BWM Dentsu’s first advertising campaign for Australis. However, the agency has been handling the production and management of the brand’s social media and digital strategy since August 2014.

Executive Creative Director, BWM Dentsu, Murray White, said: “Confident creative, an infectious track and some beautifully candid imagery really convey the freedom and spirit of the reinvigorated Australis brand.”

Fresh, lively video content shot on the Gold Coast leads the campaign, supported by inspirational and educational social media content.

Beryl Ita, head of brands- cosmetics at Heritage Brands, said: “We wanted to make an impact with this campaign, to announce the launch of the Australis Rapid Tan range in a fun, exciting way that really tapped into Australia’s Summer-loving culture.

“We were confident BWM Dentsu understood the Australis brand, having already done work with us in the digital and social space, and that understanding has clearly translated into the campaign creative. The team has delivered a great campaign that aligns perfectly with our brand purpose and identity,” Ms Ita added.

The campaign will also feature display, digital OOH, mobile geo-targeted communications and in-store POS.
