Not An April Fool’s Joke! Entries Are Closing For B&T 30 Under 30 Awards!

That we’re now in April is making our brows moisten worryingly at how fast the year is going. It’s going so speedily in fact you only have a few mere days to get your application for B&T 30 Under 30 Awards in!

That’s right, they close on Monday at 5pm (if you don’t want to pay an extra fee). So it’s time to cancel those weekend plans, make a cup of tea or coffee (or overfill a mug with Milo) and bang out your reasoning why you should win one of the 30 awards at the B&T 30 Under 30 Awards.

Last year’s event was a cracker in Sydney as 30 incredibly talented people took to the stage to accept their award. And this year is proving to be doozy as well, especially as we’ve hooked James Mathison as MC for the night.

If you’re not sure where to start with your application, we had a chat with some of our judges to see what they are, and aren’t, looking for.

“Shiny surface stuff may be pretty but when you can apply creativity and innovation to solving a real business problem that’s when you see the real talent,” said Pandora marketing director and B&T 30 Under 30 judge, Nicole McInnes.

“And it probably goes without saying but if you have a big ego now sort that shit out so you don’t sabotage your ability to learn.”

Hannah Sturrock, head of operations at The Hallway, is looking for “entries written with care and sensitivity”.

“Tightly composed entries are easier to read, and the personality shines through, without being suffocated by unnecessary words like ‘highly’ and ‘very’. Brutal sub-editing is always going to win points from me!”
