The Brands That Won on Twitter In August

August was an entertaining month on Twitter, with original content flying around from some of Australia’s leading brands. Melbourne won most-liveable city … again, Australia heats up for another Fifty Shades epsiode and KFC continues to make us salivate. Here are the brands that had Twitter users talking last month:

1. @Apple

In August, Apple continued its campaign for Siri featuring The Rock — sending them to even more fantastical locations. The question on all our lips is – would they fall in love if it were a real movie? Oh wait, that’s already been done.

#ROCKxSIRI Dwayne Johnson and Siri are taking it to the next level. https://t.co/mKgaNcrZEY

Victoria’s capital has once again been named the world’s most liveable city. Melbournites using Twitter jumped on this opportunity to invite their international friends to visit and lord the accolade over their Sydney-based friends.

Seventh heaven: Melbourne has been named the Most Liveable City for the seventh year in a row! #mostliveablecity https://t.co/zn3fretKDW

This month we saw @Coles partner with Autism Spectrum Australia to launch Quiet Hour, a pilot program aimed at helping make the shopping experience easier for people on the autism spectrum. The Australian Twitter community got behind the initiative, sharing their support with this caring response.
