Leading digital and technical strategist, Scott-Bradley Pearce, has been appointed Digital Strategy Director at brand new media. Scott will be primarily responsible for developing business and channel strategies to extend the rapidly evolving BNM brand, focusing on the use of customer data to deliver more targeting content and commercial outcomes.
“Data is at the heart of what we do and delivering exactly what our audience wants is the direct outcome of our focus on listening to customers social streams. Brands then get highly engaged audience and strong marketing outcomes,” Pearce said.
Pearce will also work on further strengthening BNM’s channelPLAY ecosystem for growth as the company continues to expand and globalize. channelPLAY is BNM’s proprietary platform, which allows consumers to view a seamless delivery of content from any device, anytime, anywhere – without the need for an app or update.

BNM CEO, Perry Smith said, “Scott is a pioneer in commercialising video content. I am confident that by appointing Scott we are shaping the best fit-for purpose team to lead the digital IPTV and HbbTV space globally.’’
"Scott brings with him an impressive track record, which will significantly contribute to our strategic goals, as well as help build our commitment to building the BNM brand," Perry Smith added.
Pearce has been working in the digital industry since the launch of both the IBM PC and Apple Macintosh and has worked on some of Australias leading-edge solutions. He is a pioneer in the Australian IP and internet based video industry entering the market with live streaming events in 1996 and delivering technical strategy on Australias first 3 channel VOD solution in 1999 for Telstra.
Over the past twenty years, he has worked in and co-owned some of Australia’s leading digital agencies, including Big Hand Asia Pacific, Brainwaave Interactive and MediaZoo.
Pearce will be presenting today at the 12th Annual 2014 Australian Broadcasting Digital Media Summit Broadcasting Technical Stream, where he is to discuss the algorithms of data mining and how BNM is using data for delivery and offering the best viewing experience as a result.
