Blue 449 Appoints New Head Of Investment

Duncan Parfitt, Managing Director of Blue 449, has today announced the appointment of Lucie Wombwell as the agency’s new head of investment.

Lucie replaces Daniel Cutrone who left Blue 449 to lead media operations at Avenue C with his brother.

Prior to joining Blue 449, Lucie spent over six years at MEC (now Wavemaker) rising to the position of Sydney Trading Director.

Before that, she spent time in London as Broadcast Group Manager for PHD UK.

Duncan Parfitt said, “We have taken our time to find the perfect combination of cultural fit and technical excellence for the growing investment team and we’re proud to welcome Lucie to Blue 449.

“She has a proven track record in delivering excellent trading outcomes for clients and this, combined with strong leadership capabilities, makes her a perfect choice to lead the investment team of the future, and help us create work that works.”

Lucie will lead a team 17 strong, managing clients including 20th Century Fox, TAL Insurance, AustralianSuper, NRMA, HCF and Menulog.

Wombell added, “Blue 449’s open source approach means it is perfectly placed to not only tackle the challenges created by such a rapidly changing media landscape, but more importantly to acknowledge and embrace the opportunities that this changing environment presents for clients and their businesses.

“I’m delighted to have the opportunity to add my experience to the team and look forward to being part of such a progressive and forward-thinking agency.”
