APN Outdoor Ramps Up Sydney’s Military Road With Double Digital Sites

The exciting announcements continue for outdoor media group APN Outdoor, as this week, it announces the approval of two game-changing digital sites soon to be live on Sydney’s Military Rd, in Cremorne.

APN Outdoor’s Military Rd overpass, that is currently home to two highly sought-after static billboards, inbound and outbound respectively, will be transformed to house two digital billboards, presiding over the busy stretch of road. The two screens will take advantage of the unique attributes of Digital Outdoor; immediacy, creative flexibility and technological interaction to name a few, and capitalise on the ever-growing outdoor audience, up 3.6 per cent in 2014.

Both screens will engage a state of the art 6.67 mm pitch resolution, which will be the first (and second) of this quality, for any roadside digital billboard in Australia. The market leading pitch coupled with the iconic location will lift Military Rd’s Elite Screens to a remarkable callibre of digital signage, in a geographic area not previously exposed.

Richard Herring, APN Outdoor’s CEO commented on the news: “As we improve and refine our expertise in the digital outdoor arena through technology, we are equally propelled by our unmatched strength of new and upgraded sites. Developments like Military Rd are redefining digital outdoor in Australia, presiding over key arterials and becoming iconic to their areas. APN Outdoor’s Military Rd overpass has long been a stronghold in any Sydney centric outdoor campaign; facilitating over 3.1 million gross contacts each month. With this stretch of road traversing some of Sydney’s most illustrious neighborhoods, it’s easy to see why we are so thrilled to welcome these Elite Screens to the portfolio.”

The two Elite Screens, upon completion will maintain the 10m x 2.5m size of the preceding static sites that are currently live on Military Rd. The sites are expected to be live by December 14th, and will usher in the final lunar period of the 2015 calendar year.

Throughout 2015, APN Outdoor have demonstrated an enduring commitment to leadership and pioneering of digital outdoor across the Tasman, announcing ongoing developments across their Elite Screen, Transit Technology, XtrackTV and Airport portfolios that have been enthusiastically embraced by media agencies and advertisers alike.
