APN News & Media has appointed Vida Scott to the position of corporate communications manager.
In this newly created role, Scott is responsible for driving the company’s communications effort at a corporate, investor, regulatory and group level.
Scott joins APN from News Corp Australia where she has been Corporate Affairs Manager since 2012.
She had a number of communications roles at News Corp Australia including in its digital division as marketing communications manager – emerging businesses from April 2010 to June 2012 and public relations executive from 2008 to March 2010.
Prior to her role at News Corp Australia, Scott was at Red Agency where she worked across a number of clients including Fairfax Media and its associated brands.
APN chief executive, Michael Miller, said Scott was an experienced corporate affairs and communications professional with a deep understanding of the media landscape in Australia.
“Vida will be a key addition to our team given her extensive industry experience and work with News Corp Australia which is one of Australia’s leading media companies.
