Amplifi Appoints Alex Pekish As Chief Commercial Officer

Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) has announced the promotion of Alex Pekish to the newly created role of chief commercial officer at Amplifi.

The announcement signals another senior appointment for DAN’s recently centralised investment unit for Australia and New Zealand.

It follows Adrian Roeling’s appointment as president last month, and Ashley Earnshaw’s appointment as chief investment officer.

Reporting to Roeling (pictued above, right), Pekish (pictured above, left) will be responsible for managing DAN’s group media investment deals, working with Earnshaw to ensure the deals are aligned and delivered in accordance to clients’ strategic objectives.

Pekish will also support key Amplifi business units The Story Lab and Amnet, helping to maximise the value of their media relationships.

Arguably one of the most experienced investment practitioners in the industry, Pekish has held numerous senior media buying roles over the course of his 25-year career.

Roeling said: “Our group and its clients have benefitted from Alex’s exceptional trading acumen for over a decade, during which we have worked very closely together.

“As we centralise our investment arm and Amplifi becomes the fastest-growing area of our business, this promotion is testament to Alex’s influence on our ability to deliver exceptional value to our business and its clients, at pace and scale.”

Commenting on his new role, Pekish said: “The appointment of chief commercial officer is a great honour for me personally, and one that will allow me to use experiences and relationships across markets to ensure that Dentsu Aegis’ ambitions and goals are delivered.

“I am looking forward to working with the team to bring the new Amplifi to life in the Australian marketplace.”
