Adam Hills Apologises For Tweet Saying Pauline Hanson Should Be Hung From Harbour Bridge

Comedian Adam Hills is facing the wrath of Twitter after a series of tweets which inadvertently suggested politician Pauline Hanson be “hung” from the Sydney harbour Bridge.

While not meaning to execute Hanson, Hills said he had meant Hanson should be dangling in a harness against the French flag that was displayed on the Opera House in response to her comments about the horrific Paris attacks.

Hanson had said Australia does not want more refugees, who could be Muslim, coming into Australia. She also said, which seems to have been the crux of Hills’s tweet: “Not all Muslims are terrorists. But all terrorists are Muslims.”

You can watch the Today Show’s interview with Hanson here.

Following this, Hills’s tweeted out:

Which was met with almost immediate blasting and scorn.

Hills then tweeted out a series of tweets trying to show what he meant.

Twitter was unimpressed to say the least, leading Hills’s to take to Facebook for a longer apology.
