The fate of Seven’s The Mole, which pulled in just 555,000 viewers last night, appears to be sealed after a spokesperson for the network confirmed to B&T that it will move to just one night a week.

Seven had already announced that it was axing its run from three to two days this week in the prime time 7.30pm spot, but the network has confirmed that The Mole will now only be aired on Wednesday nights at the later 9.30pm slot.

The move has cast a major doubt on whether Seven will persist with the show, which has been losing audiences in the six figures with each outing, or whether it’s in line to get the bullet.

Meanwhile, Seven has launched a couple of promotional TVCs for its forthcoming season of X-Factor.

This year's renewal of the talent show – expected to air in September – scored a major coup by reuniting Dannii and Kylie Minogue on screen. It is the first time the sisters have worked together on Australian TV since a Young Talent Time concert in 1987.

Dannii, one of the judges on this year's X Factor, will be joined this year by new recruit LMFAO’s Redfoo as the final judge on the panel.

Other Australian shows upcoming for Seven include Slide Show, Formal Wars, Please Marry my Boy, and Young Dumb and Living Off Mum.
