Seven’s My Kitchen Rules was first out of the gate again last night but the return of the network’s drama Winners & Losers lagged behind Nine’s The Big Bang Theory.

The second night of MKR pulled in 1.605 million viewers for Seven and helped the network take a total 32% share of all free-to-air viewers, according to OzTam’s preliminary ratings.

Despite a strong lead-in with MKR, Winners & Losers pulled in just over one million viewers (1.024 million). Sitting in 10th place overall the drama came second in its timeslot to Nine’s sitcom The Big Bang Theory.

The Big Bang Theory was Nine’s best performing program with 1.272 million viewers tuning in along with another 1.205 million for a repeat.

The Block: Fans v Faves again came second to MKR at 7.30pm with 1.131 million viewers wining the reno competition ninth place in total people.

Ten’s Biggest Loser: Challenge Australia was pushed outside the top 20 most watched shows in total people with a five city metro audience of just 503,000.

Ten’s only top 20 program was Ten Eyewitness News (646,000).

More than one million people (1.141 million) chose Home and Away over the 995,000 who watched A Current Affair at 7pm.

Nine came second place overall with a total share of 27.7% and 23% for its main channel compared to Seven’s primary 25.3% share.

ABC came third with 20.1% and 14.7% for ABC1 ahead of Ten’s combined 15.5%. Ten’s primary channel won 10.4%.

SBS was left with a total share of 4.7% with 3.7% going to SBS ONE.
