Nine’s The Voice triumphed to the tune of 1.75 million last night, while Ten’s MasterChef cooked up only 652,000, making it the lowest rating non-news program in OzTam’s top 20.
The reality cooking show sat 17th, sandwiched between Ten’s The Project (681,000) and just above ABC1’s Q&A (633,000).
The Block was the second-highest rating entertainment program of the evening, scoring fifth spot with 1.47 million, and was followed by Seven’s home renovation offering, House Rules, which drew 1.37 million.
Revenge, on Seven, sat eighth, just missing out on the million viewer mark, (986,000) while Home & Away followed on 984,000.
Nine won for news, with Nine News securing second place and A Current Affair beating Seven News to third spot.
Nine News pulled 1.61 million, A Current Affair drew 1.49 million and Seven News managed 1.48 million.
Nine won the largest share of audience with 36.2%, followed by Seven on 28.6%, the ABC on 16.4% and Ten on 15%. SBS won 3.8%.
