The Voice outshines House Rules

Nine was back on top of the ratings last night with a start of a fresh week for The Voice pulling in just short of two million viewers to the network.

The Voice was Sunday night’s most watched show with 1.967  million viewers, according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.

Nine’s 60 Minutes was the second most watched, with 1.732 million viewers compared to the 926,000 Seven’s Sunday Night pulled in at 7.40pm.

House Rules was above the million mark last night with an audience of 1.276 million.

The renovation competition was the night’s fifth most watched offering.

Ten’s MasterChef Australia was safely in the top 10 last night with its 924,000 viewers securing it seventh place.

Seven’s A Place to Call Home did outperform Nine’s The Mentalist with 851,000 people choosing to tune into Seven’s Australian drama compared to the 733,000 who watched Nine’s import.

Nine won the night overall with a total 36.3% share of all free-to-air viewers with 29.4% going to its main channel.

Seven was in second place on a combined 26.5% with 19.4% for its primary channel.

Ten was in third place overall with a total 16.2%, just ahead of the ABC’s 16.1%.

Modern Family won 514,000 for Ten while Elementary brought in 475,000.

Ten’s main channel won 11.1%. ABC1 sat on 12.2%.

SBS won a total 5% with 4.1% going to SBS ONE.
