The Block topped the ratings for the first time since its 2014 debut last night and helped Nine to dominate the MKR free Thursday night.
More than one million fans (1.22 million) tuned in to The Block: Fans v Faves last night, according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.
The reality show helped Nine to victory over rival Seven with Nine taking a total 30.4% share of all free-to-air viewers.
The network’s primary channel won 21.8%. Seven was relegated to second place with a total combined 29.3% share and 20.9% for its main channel.
Seven News (1.128 million) outperformed the first half of Nine News (1.023 million) and 1.051 million people chose to watch Seven’s Today Tonight over the second half of Nine News (989,000).
Ten’s most watched show was Ten Eyewitness News (621,000). Ten won a combined 17% share of all FTA viewers with 10.1% for its primary channel.
ABC was ahead with a total 17.5% and 11.7% for ABC1. SBS sat on 5.8% with 4.7% for SBS ONE.
