The Biggest Loser a ratings yo-yo?

The Biggest Loser: The Next Generation bounced back in to the top 10 last night with 998,000 viewers after dropping out of the top 20 shows last week.

On Wednesday evening last week The Biggest Loser pulled in only 499,000 viewers for Ten in the 7.30 to 8.30 pm slot.

But last night that figure doubled to just under one million viewers, with the show winning seventh place, according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.

Elementary was Ten’s second top 10 program, sitting in 10th place the modern take on Sherlock Holmes was watched by 866,000 viewers.

Seven was Sunday night’s big winner, dominating half of the top 10 spots. The  network also took a commanding 25.2% share of all free to air viewers, ahead of Nine’s 16.7% and Ten’s 15.4%.

Sunday Night took top spot with 1.26 million viewers followed by Seven News with 1.211, just ahead of Nine News’ 1.197 million result.

Downton Abbey was the evening’s fourth most watched show with 1.153 million viewers.

The Force and Border Security also performed well for the dominant network.

Nine had just one other top 10 show, 60 Minutes in ninth place with 892,000 viewers.
