Ten continues restructure with new trading and sport sales hire

Network Ten has announced the appointment of Rod Prosser to the new role of head of trading and sport sales.

The move comes after Ten last week confirmed that Kelly Healy was to lead another newly created position, client services.

Prosser (pictured), who was previously Ten’s Sydney sales boss, will report to national sales director Louise Barrett.

“Rod has been a vital part of the Network Ten Sales team over the past three years and we are delighted that he is taking on this important new position,” said Barrett.

“Rod played a major role in our negotiations with the key consortia last year and that will continue as we head into the next round of negotiations later this year.

“The creation of a standalone trading division is part of a broader restructuring of Network Ten’s sales division, which will ensure it is more effective, efficient and responsive to the needs of our clients,” she added.

Ten said Prosser will lead the sport sales division as it heads into key upcoming events, including the KFC T20 Big Bash League, the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, the 2014 Formula One Australian Grand Prix and the XX Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.

Healy, who is currently Queensland director of sales at Bauer Media, will join Ten in October.
