After the excitement of last week's epic evening with MKR pulling in 3 million viewers for its finale, The Voice stood alone above the news programs and news magazine shows as viewers spread the love for Sunday night.

Falling just shy of the 2 million mark with 1.969 million viewers in the metro areas, Nine's singing competition continued its dominance as 18-year-old Harrison and freinds continued to woo the dominant slice of the ratings pie.

Channel 7's news was the next strongest contender, with 1.547 million viewers. Seven took third as well with its current affairs magazine show Sunday Night, drawing a metro audience of 1.493 million.

Seven's new 1950s drama A Place to Call Home came in sixth with 1.31 million, down from its debut of 1.77 last week, with no MKR to prime its audience.

In the battle of the networks, Nine finished the evening on top with 26.8% of the share. Seven came in second with 24.2%, while Ten narrowly held on to third over the ABC with 11.5% and 10.8% respectively. SBS brought up the rear with 4.4%.
