SBS2 launched last night to muted reception claiming an audience share of just 0.7%, less than the same time last week.

The revamped station is aimed at “thinking 20 and 30 somethings” and had shows including Russell Howard’s Good News, Bullet in the Face starring Eddie Izzard and Community.

However, the station is also offering some of its content for free online, including full series of three of its shows, as it looks to adapt for the way people view TV in the modern age.

Unsurprisingly Seven dominated proceedings with My Kitchen Rules (1.921m) followed by Revenge (1.234m) giving it the two top shows and a 28.4% share.

Yo-yo figures for The Biggest Loser (774,000) continued to trouble Ten, despite it being its most popular show, finishing 15th overall behind five ABC1 shows including Media Watch (793,000).

That gave ABC1 a 16% share, with Ten claiming 11.8% and Nine second on 18.3%.
