Seven climbed back on top of the ratings last night as crowd-favourite Packed to the Rafters pulled in more viewers than The Block.

Packed to the Rafters won over an audience of 1.255 million and was the most watched non-news offering, according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.

The Block: Sky High followed with 1.196 million viewers.

While Nine achieved the most watched program on Tuesday evening (Nine News with 1.327 million) Seven took more top 10 places.

Seven won five of the top 10 slots compared to Nine’s three.

As a result, Seven took a leading 22% share of all free-to-air viewers with its main channel. Nine followed with 20.3%.

House Rules was still down compared to competitor The Block with Seven’s DIY program coming in ninth with an audience of 954,000.

The Celebrity Apprentice challenge and boardroom episodes sat outside the top 10 in 12th place with 812,000 viewers and in 14th with 754,000 respectively.

Ten’s best performing program was NCIS which came 13th with 768,000 viewers.

Ten took a 15.4% share of all free-to-air viewers, ahead of the ABC’s 13.8% and SBS’ 5.1%.
