The Australian Financial Review’s (AFR) new business program Financial Review Sunday enjoyed a promising debut by winning its ratings timeslot yesterday morning.
The first installment of the new program, aired at 10am yesterday on Nine Network, reeled in just under 200,000 viewers, outscoring Network Ten’s The Bolt Report (147,000) and ABC’s Inside Business (137,000).
The first episode included interviews with Coles chief Ian McLeod and Rio Tinto chief executive Sam Walsh.
Financial Review publisher Brett Clegg told the AFR: “We are thrilled with the first week’s performance. Executive producer Mark Calvert, consulting producer Nabila Ahmed and the whole production team should take credit and be very proud of delivering such an outcome from the first episode. We plan to go from strength to strength.”
