Channel Nine took out Mother’s Day with 28.8% of total audience thanks largely to a perfect podium plus one finish, taking out positions one through to four in the OzTam preliminary free-to-air metro ratings.
Nine’s fab four for the evening were The Voice (1.93 million), Nine News (1.37 million), 60 Minutes (1.31 million) and the launch show of the Block Sky High (1.31 million), with the latter two tying for third.
Channel Seven took out the next five slots starting with its news magazine show Sunday Night gathering 1.24 million viewers, down on last week’s outing of 1.49 million.
Seven’s news was next (1.24 million), followed by 1950s drama A Place to Call Home (1.18 million), which was also down on last week’s audience of 1.31 million.
The Force Behind the Line (1.12 million) and Highway Patrol (904.000) rounded out Seven’s best performers delivering the network an overall share of 21.7%.
The ABC News (798,000) completed the top ten, while Channel Ten’s best performing program was its second episode of Modern Family (746,000) for the evening, which took out 11th spot.
Overall the ABC claimed 10.5% of the show, behind Channel Ten, which claimed 13.2% of share. SBS had 4.3% of the audience.
