NewsLifeMedia launches new tool to help plan your meals

News Corp Australia’s lifestyle division NewsLifeMedia will launch the Taste Planner, a clever tool to help plan your meals, on January 1, 2014.

The meal planning tool, created by Taste.com.au can plan meals for between one and 28 days that are healthy, quick and easy and budget friendly.

It can also cater for up to 15 dietary requirements and 11 allergies such as gluten, egg and dairy, speeding through 26,000 recipes on Taste.com.au that are individually tagged by ingredient and allergen.

“The future of food content is personalised, curated and works hand-in-hand with our dietary needs which means that it is paramount that our content is relevant in all future forms,” Nicole Sheffield, CEO of NewsLifeMedia, said.

“Over the last year we have rebuilt the Taste.com.au database, re-cataloguing and tagging more than 26,000 triple tested recipes.

“We have created a service that puts consumers in control of their meal plans, catering to their individual diets, allergies and budget – saving them time and money.”

The tool also generates a shopping list based on your meal plan then adds up ingredients of the same type and sorts them by category, saving you time pondering over what and how much you should buy.

“A number of international research studies have also shown that people who plan their grocery shopping are more likely to improve their health,” Sheffield added.

“We are delighted to be launching a service that will help everyday Australians in so many ways.”

From January 1, 2014 all consumers will have free access to Tasteplanner.com.au for 28 days then subscriptions will cost $7.96 per 28 days ($1.99 per week).

Offer valid between January 1, 2014 to February 28, 2014.
